      About me

If I had to sum up my personality, I’d probably point you to the ENTJ profile, the so-called “Commander.” (The 16 Personalities framework is based on the Sixteen Personality Factor Questionnaire, or 16PF—a self-reported personality test developed over several decades of empirical research by Raymond B. Cattell, Maurice Tatsuoka, and Herbert Eber.) I’ve always been drawn to logic and structure, but also to the creative challenge of building something new. I tend to step into leadership roles, not out of a need for control, but because I can’t help but see the bigger picture and want to move things forward. I set high standards for myself and those around me, and I’m always looking for ways to do things better, faster, smarter. Of course, this drive comes with its own lessons: I can be impatient when things stall, and sometimes my directness can come off as blunt, especially when I care deeply about a project. I’m still learning to slow down, to ask for help, and to remember that balance matters as much as vision.

My transition after completing my M.Sc. was less a grand plan and more a mix of circumstance and curiosity. I had hoped to continue in research, but at the time, I couldn't secure a position that matched my interests. At the same time, I was intrigued by the idea of working with data and modalities beyond just video, branching out into areas like text, tabular data, and real-world business problems. Consulting offered a way in: it let me apply my technical background to a variety of domains, and the fast pace kept me learning.

What really ties it all together for me, though, is the people. Some of my best learning moments have come from collaborating with teammates whose backgrounds and perspectives are completely different from my own. Every project is a chance to see the world through someone else’s eyes, and that’s what keeps me inspired to keep building, learning, and leading.

      Broader Interests

My interests go beyond code and algorithms. I've written about environmental ethics and sustainable development, topics that shape how I consider the long-term impact of the projects I take on. Documentaries like Dominion have also influenced my views on the ethical issues surrounding industrial farming. Please consider supporting this referendum proposal to ban industrial farming in Italy, which is a leading source of environmental pollution, water consumption, and animal suffering.

Outside of work, I love discovering new places — travel is my favorite way to learn. I also unwind by playing the trumpet, a passion since childhood.

      Currently Learning

This portfolio site itself represents my latest experiment, diving into vibe coding for frontend development. I started with a simple knowledge base of my projects and application documents of several years, used Lovable for initial scaffolding, and paired with Cursor and Claude 3.7 Sonnet voice prompted via whisper-assistant-cursor to bring it all together. A single prompt deploys everything to Cloudflare Pages. Some links are broken; I am fixing them as I go.

Beyond this project, I'm exploring advanced prompt engineering and agentic architectures.
